*phone rings*

[Hello, could I speak with, Bushwick Bill?]
Hello, this is Bushwick, motherfucking Bill
[Yes sir, I'm calling to inform you that you have been drafted into the United States military]
The Unites States wants me for what? Hahahaha
[Excuse me sir]
Hahaha
[Bushwick?]
Hahaha, yeah yeah yeah, hey what's up?
[You need to contact your nearest recruiting office immeadiatly
please]
I see your not hip to what's happenin'
I don't give a fuck about you and all that bullshit you stressin'
Fuck a war. To explain, let me kick it to you a little something like this:

(Bushwick Bill)

Motherfuck a war, that's how I feel
Sendin' a nigga to the desert to get killed
Cause two suckas can't agree on something
A thousand motherfuckers died for nothing
You can't pay me to join an army camp
Or any other motherfuckin' military branch
of this United goddman States of this bitch America
Be a soldier, what for?
They puttin' niggas on the front line
But when it comes to gettin' ahead, they put us way behind
I ain't gettin' my leg shot off
While Bush old ass on t.v. playin' golf
But when you come to my house with that draft shit
I'm a shoot your funky ass bitch
A nigga'll die for a brawl
But I ain't fightin' behind no goddamn oil
Against motherfuckas I don't know
Yo Bush! I ain't your damn hoe
The enemy is right here g, them foreigners never did shit me
All of those wasted lives
And only one or two get recognized
But what good is a medal when your dead? tell Uncle Sam I said

chorus x2 (Willie D)

I ain't goin' to war for a shit talkin' president
[Fuck fuck fuck a war]

(Bushwick Bill)

In Vietnam a lot of niggas died young
P.O.W.'s got hung
What the fuck do I know about a grenade
All I know is the cops and my 12 gauge
And what if that pin gets stuck?
Several more casualties show up
This shit remind me of a drive-by
More motherfuckers die by accident than on purpose, why?
Cause they don't know what they doin'
They see the coast is clear and they start persuin'
And that's when that booby trap springs, BOOM!
Blow a motherfucker to smithereens
They send a sucker to your folks, lookin' stupid
tellin' them you died in the line of duty
Or your ass is missing in action bro
Tryin' to be a damn hero
They bring your folks that duffle bag
The only shit they wanna see is that doggy tag
Hopin' that the worryin' will cease
And your ass will be home in one damn piece
But my mom ain't gotta worry about that there
Cause I ain't dyin' in the middle of nowhere
Another statistic, a body in a drawer
Man! mother fuck a war!

Chorus x2

Ya'll lucky that I ain't the president
Cause I'll push the fuckin' button and get it over wit
Fuck all that waitin' and procrastinatin'
And all that goddamn negotiatin'
Flyin' back and fourth overseas
And havin' lunch and brunch with the motherfuckin' enemy
I'll aim one missle at Iraq
And blow that little piece off shit off the map
Yeah, I wouldn't give a fuck who it ices
Cause I'm tired of payin' these high ass gas prices
Only the rich benefit, it'll be a cold day in hell before I enlist
To eat shit out a can like a worm
And everyday wear the same fuckin' uniform
Sores breakin' on my funky ass feet
Skin crawlin' cause I ain't took baths in weeks
Not knowin' if I'm comin' home or not
And if I do, I'll probably be shell shocked
I couldn't get a job just a free burial
You know how Uncle Sam treat it's veterans
Absolutely no respect
Get a plate in your head, lose a leg, you might get a check
Or a gaddamn star, you can have that shit
Mother fuck a war!

(chorus)x2

enqueue
Well I've been to some far out places
I've read the writing on the wall
But today I walked with Jesus and together
Together we walk tall

And as we sat there talking
Jesus turned to say to me
"You'd better learn and love this life ‘cos there's things
There's things that are hard to see"

And as I sat there thinkin'
Once again he turned to me
He said "I've given you temptation but these things
These things have got to be"

So I just sat and listened
To what Jesus said to me
‘Cos sometimes you gotta listen, if there's things,
If there's things you just can't see

And while we were out walking
Once again he turned to me
And as I looked into his eyes his thoughts
His thoughts just came to me.

Well some people never listen
You know some people just won't see
But I can see and hear these things
These things have got to be.

it was ugly, but scored twice in the last 4 minutes to pull it out. not sure why we habe to wait for emergencies to pull out the offensive playbook?? it shows we have a great offense, but we still choose to go in stubborn mode, being conservative and beat people that way, rather than being more aggressive on offense. texas still needs a change for next year --- greg davis.

=======================

went to gallery lombardi + camp fig tonight. wish austin had a bigger art scene. lots of artists, actually, just not much as far as spaces go. michael burnett, photographer from thrasher, showed some stuff. not much, actually. last decent skate-art show i saw was at yuerba buena in sf. had a nice selection of old boards, too, some neo-classics: jason lee - burger king, randy colvin - velvet painting, vallely - farm animals, and other nostalgia inducing boards. i wish they had the mark gonzales macaroni + cheese everslick graphic, i liked riding that one.

on another flashback note, i wish i could find out some info on my 1st board, epic - eddie gomez. i've looked online in the past, but epic must've been a pretty small company. that's how i rolled back then, ahh, now i'm thinking about my steve steadham, the old sam cunninghams, the great design of the animal kingdom boards. i need to go skate.

prescriptions can't fuck with me. sonata, nope. ambien, uh uh. trazodone, psyche.

i'm switching it up to hom(e)opathic: melatonin, 5 l-hydroxytryptophan, with a dose of tea.

it's not that waking up at 2am + not being able to fall asleep for 1-2 hrs afterwards for the past 3 months is killing me, it's just getting a tad bit old. maybe i should start binge drinking and going to work drunk/hungover. it's probably hypertension: work, grad class, applying to ut for grad school, luigi in town, + the impending uncle sam about to be on my ass like the ut defense in the 2nd half last saturday.

i'll make it, just need to keep on diesel truckin', babay.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- It must have sounded like a bad joke.

Thoroughly dominated in the first half, Texas coach Mack Brown made a big promise to his team: They would win.

Only this was no joke and no false optimism a coach might use just to get his team back on the field in a blowout. It was real.

Cedric Benson scored five touchdowns Saturday night and No. 6 Texas rallied from a 35-7 first-half deficit to beat No. 19 Oklahoma State 56-35.

The Longhorns trailed 35-14 at halftime when Brown told the Longhorns they would score on their first drive of the third quarter and go on to win. He even predicted a final score of 42-35.

"Unbelievable," Brown said. "After the game I apologized for underestimating them."

Benson's fourth TD gave Texas its first lead at 42-35 early in the fourth quarter. His last, a 6-yard bullrush in which he pushed four defenders across the goal line, put the exclamation point on the incredible comeback that kept the Longhorns' BCS hopes alive.

"That shows the character of this team as far as how tough we are," said senior linebacker Derrick Johnson. "We never gave up."

A little perspective on just how big of a rally it was: In 111 years of playing football, the biggest deficit the Longhorns (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) had ever overcome to win was 19 points three seasons ago in a Holiday Bowl win over Washington.

For Oklahoma State (6-3, 3-3), it should go down as one of the most stunning losses in a long, long time, if not ever.

If the Cowboys had managed to shake off the hangover of their 3-point loss to No. 2 Oklahoma a week earlier, coach Les Miles isn't likely to shake the hurt from this one anytime soon.

"I've never been through one like that," Miles said. "There will be some pain. There's no way to have a game like this where you don't ache."

Trailing by four touchdowns in the first half, the Longhorns scored TDs on five straight possessions to take the lead and control of the game.

Quarterback Vince Young had a career night with 278 yards on 18-of-21 passing. He started the rally by running the Longhorns' hurry-up offense to perfection late in the second quarter.

Young's 5-yard TD pass to Bo Scaife with 3 seconds left in the half trimmed the lead to 35-14 and made the rally possible.

Scaife stretched for the pylon to get the ball into the end zone. The touchdown sent the Longhorns into the locker room thinking anything was possible.

"There was a lot of energy in the locker room," Benson said. "Most teams would have laid down and given up. We fought back to see what the final score was."

For one almost perfect half of football, the Cowboys looked unbeatable.

Robert Jones returned the opening kickoff to the Texas 46 and the Cowboys marched six plays to their first TD. On the their second possession, Vernand Morency took a quick pass in the flat from Donovan Woods and left four defenders flat-footed with shifty moves in the open field as he dashed 68 yards for the end zone.

After Morency scored on a 13-yard run and Woods added a 1-yard score, the Cowboys led 28-7 midway through the second quarter. And they kept pouring it on.

Woods' brother D'Juan snared a fingertip catch in stride for 45 yards to set up OSU's final score of the half, a 1-yard run by Seymore Shaw that made it 35-7 and completely silenced the sellout crowd of 83,181.

"It was a train wreck," Brown said. "We were splattered."

The game was so out of hand it was looking like the 63-14 and 65-13 drubbings the Oklahoma Sooners had laid on the Longhorns in recent years.

"The thought crosses your mind," said Benson, who finished with 141 yards on 23 carries. "You have to make a decision either to change the outcome or just lay down."

As Brown promised, Texas scored on the first drive of the third when Benson's 1-yard TD run made it 35-21. Then the Texas defense, which couldn't stop anything in the first half, started pushing the Cowboys backward.

The Longhorns forced a three-and-out on Oklahoma State's first possession of the third and cut the lead to 35-28 when Benson scored from 23 yards. The Longhorns got the ball again after sacking Woods on third down on the next drive.

The Cowboys, who rolled up 297 yards on offense in the first half, managed just 105 in the second.

By the time Ramonce Taylor tied it at 35 with a 48-yard reverse, Texas players were dancing on the sideline and the fans who were so quiet earlier were on their feet chanting "Texas Fight!"

"It's a sick feeling in your stomach," Cowboys linebacker Paul Duren said. "It's almost like you're out there dreaming when they kept scoring."
