went and watched life aquatic this afternoon. what a nice film, purdy, fun, touchy, like that bike store owner with dudley + arnold on diff'rent strokes. almost had me shedding a tear, 15yr record is still in tact, however. one day, i tell u whut.
i'm hooked on this devendra banhart record, nino rojo, it's, like, beautiful.
went running this morning, felt good to get my lazy butt back out there. it's hard to keep it going, gonna go again tomorrow, but then we hit the road at around noon. difficult getting a run routine started on a roadtrip -- leave it to 2005, yo. groceries for the road, check. the trip to denver last year involved serious gas station food + it about did me in. itinerary other than la, uncertain. it'll be fun to decide on the road, maybe go shoot something in death valley '69. vegas? joshua tree would be great. time for sf would be hott.
hope yr xmas was a good'n. i rolled to dallas with bella. she keeps it real on the road, navigatin' + such. she finally broke down + told about her tour in 'nam '71-'72. she was in the shit; for weeks. not knowing what was coming next, charlie all around. it's made he who she is today, no regrets -- discharged, section 8. it was real bonding.
it was nice to see my mom + sister for the holiday. i'm still a detached son of a bitch, though. always have been with my immediate family, somehow i'm closer to my german side, my friends, and other people's parents. i'm kooky like that.
